Becoming A Mom/Family Birthing Center Tours Cancelled

Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak, the Becoming A Mom/Family Birthing Center Tours in March and April are cancelled. We will re-evaluate in May and update the classes when we are able. Call Tricia at (785) 826-6000 x 7334 with questions.

Free Colorectal Screenings In The Month Of March

In recognition of national Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, 800 free colorectal cancer screening kits are being made available to anyone ages 45-75. The screening is recommended for those that have not had a recent colonoscopy. The kits can be picked up at all Salina and LIndsborg pharmacies, the Tammy Walker Cancer Center and the Salina Family Healthcare Center while supplies last.

March 16-April 20 -- Cooperative Parenting In Divorce

This course will assist divorcing or divorced parents in reducing parental conflict and improving their child's post-divorce adjustment. Attendees will learn conflict management skills, how to keep the child(ren) focused, how to handle tense situations and cooperation skills.
Time: Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

March 17-- Diabetes Support Group

Free series of monthly support groups for anyone affected by diabetes. The first 20 attendees will get a door prize. The speakers are knowledgeable about diabetes and diabetic friendly recipes are provided at each meeting. Valet parking available at circle drive.

March 20 - Early Childhood Screening Clinic

Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinic today for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. Screenings are also available in Abilene, Chapman, White City, Hope, Solomon and Herington. Click here for flyer to see dates/contact number in other locations in North Central Kansas.

March 31 Through June 2 - FREE Tobacco Cessation classes.

This program consists of 8 one hour group sessions designed to give you the tools and support to quit tobacco. Participants will receive information on strategies to quit and stay quit, how to cope with stress without using tobacco, and medications that might help with the quitting process. This is open to smokers as well as those who use smokeless tobacco.

Time: Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

This program is open to anyone including those newly diagnosed with diabetes, those who have had diabetes for a long time and anyone who simply just wants to learn more. The instructors are nurses and dieticians who are Certified Diabetes Educators, a pharmacist and physical therapist.
