Thank you for your interest in the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Salina Regional Health Center. The yearly application deadline is January 12, 2024.

Salina Regional participates in the PhORCAS application service provided by ASHP. Please visit the PhORCAS website at www.ashp.org/phorcas or https://portal.phorcas.org/ for complete details and Salina Regional’s application requirements.

Once a completed application is received, you will receive an email confirming receipt of materials. Invitations for onsite or virtual interviews will be extended to qualified candidates. Candidates who are not offered an interview will be notified within four weeks of the application deadline.

Our holistic applicant review process is based on an objective scoring system that is meticulously reviewed and revised annually. By using predefined criteria for evaluation, we strive to mitigate the influence of implicit bias or inequity in our decision-making process. Please ensure you complete and provide information in all applicable portions of the PhORCAS application as this information is used to determine initial interview offers. The interview process consists of panel interviews with pre-selected questions, clinical case review, a 15-min presentation on selected questions given at the time of the interview offer, and discussions with current residents. Each section of the interview is scored on a standardized rubric providing insight on the applicants clinical competence, leadership experience, goals and motivation, teamwork and conflict management, presentation skills, as well as self-assessment.
