Blood Pressure Checks

Do you know your blood pressure numbers? Unless you routinely check your blood pressure, hypertension can go undetected. Thanks to funding from the Service Auxiliary, you can check your blood pressure at a free and convenient automatic blood pressure monitor. The machine is located in the main lobby of the patient tower. This service is available to all guests, employees and volunteers.

Notary Public

A notary public is available at the hospital. Upon your request, he or she can visit you in your room.

Flowers / Mail

Flowers, balloons and personal mail are delivered throughout the day by hospital volunteers. Latex balloons are not permitted in the hospital due to high allergy risk. In addition, web grams, a type of e-mail card which can be sent via the hospital web site are delivered by volunteers on weekdays. (Holidays excluded.)

Flowers are not allowed on the Intensive Care Unit, but patients will receive cards and the flowers will be held until the patient is released from the unit.

Hearing Impaired

TDD is available for phone calls, and the hospital also has special phone handsets that have adjustable volume controls.

Internet Computer Access

Internet computer access is available for patient families in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, Peds & Surgery waiting areas. You may wish to bring e-mail addresses of family and friends so you can update them on how you or your loved one is doing.

Interpretation services are available to non-English-speaking patients. Ask your nurse or physician if you need an interpreter.

Ethics Committee

There are times when you may need to talk to someone about what is best for yourself or a loved one. Your doctor will give you information and advice about treatment. You have the right to accept or refuse treatment.

We have an ethics committee that can meet for the purpose of reviewing and discussing ethical issues about the care you or your loved one are receiving.

While you are a patient, you can contact the Ethics Committee by asking your nurse or physician, or you may dial 6178 and ask for chaplain on call.

ATM Machine

An ATM machine is located in the Surgical Waiting Area just off the main lobby and in the basement across from the cafeteria for your convenience.

Gift Shop

The Salina Regional Health Service Auxiliary operates a gift shop located in the main lobby of the hospital. Magazines, cards, toys, flowers, balloons and other gifts are available. Volunteer workers staff the shop, which is open daily. All profits from the sale of merchandise benefit the hospital through the efforts of the Service Auxiliary.

Valet Service

For the convenience of our patients and families, Salina Regional Health Center offers valet service Monday through Friday from 6:00am – 5:00pm, excluding holidays.
Please pull your vehicle next to the sidewalk in the circle drive located at the front entrance of the hospital right off Santa Fe Ave. You will be given a valet ticket when you drop your vehicle off. When you are ready to leave the hospital, bring your ticket back to the valet area and we will retrieve your vehicle and bring it back to the circle drive where it was initially left.
Our valet service is complimentary and is funded through the Salina Regional Health Foundation.
