Rehabilitation Services Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic
Our Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic in the Salina Medical Arts Building, 520 S.
Santa Fe, treats outpatients with traditional complaints of pain, weakness
and loss of motion, but also specializes in occupational and sports
medicine.
Occupational Therapy -- Specialized functional capacity testing is
done with the ERGOS system to determine safe workload limits for injured
workers, for employment screenings to determine if an employee can safely
carryout their essential job functions. The ERGOS unit can replicate
more than 10,000 different job functions to accurately test an individual's
capabilities and determine when he or she can safely return to work.
This clinic also conducts work conditioning programs to decrease limitations
and retrain workers to avoid future injuries. Our therapists work
closely with insurance companies and employers, as well as employees, to
enhance the patient's return to a productive work environment. Our
staff can go to a work site to analyze the ergonomics of a particular
job and make recommendations to make it safer.
Sports Medicine -- We work closely with orthopedic surgeons to
treat injured athletes (serious athletes, as well as recreational athletes).
Therapists are trained in treating foot pain and injuries and in fabricating
custom orthotics as needed. We also can provide different types of
braces and supports when required. Therapists have also been trained
in analyzing components of athletic movements, such as golf swings, to
determine causes of injury and enhance performance. A physician's
