Physical Therapy

Inpatient physical therapy is provided on the Santa Fe Campus. Here therapists treat patients to control pain, increase strength, restore motion and regain function after an injury or illness. Arthritis, neck and back pain, shoulder dysfunctions, stroke and head injury are common diagnoses seen by these therapists. They also treat patients with diabetic ulcers and other wounds. Lower back problems are also commonly treated. Therapists have been trained in a variety of muscle and joint treatment techniques and can utilize different approaches depending upon a patient's condition.

Additionally, we have special testing equipment to assess balance and can set up treatment programs to improve balance and decrease the risk of falling. Therapy services for Salina Regional's Home Health patients are coordinated at the Penn campus, as well as contract services. Every ten weeks, Marc Asher, MD, and Brad Olney, MD, pediatric orthopedic surgeons from the University of Kansas Medical Center, hold a clinic for children with orthopedic problems. For more information call 785-452-6364.
