Rehabilitation Services Occupational Therapy
Inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy services are provided at
the Santa Fe campus. Occupational therapists work with fine motor
skills such as writing and eating and with activities of daily living like
dressing, bathing and toileting.
We make adaptive equipment and fabricate splints to protect an injury and
enhance functioning. Common diagnoses are hand and arm injuries,
arthritis, head injury and stroke. We also work with people with
vision problems to help them make changes to their environment so it is more
functional, visible and safe. We can also help make work sites safer
from an ergonomic standpoint to reduce repetitive motion injuries. A
physician's referral is needed for therapy. Call 785-452-6359 for more
information.
Another program we offer is vestibular rehabilitation. Often
dizziness puts someone at risk of falling and keeps them from their normal
activities. After special testing, we can determine what special
exercises and positioning techniques are needed to help resolve the
dizziness. For information about this program, call 785-452-6062. |
