The Tammy Walker Cancer Center is fortunate to have expert physicians that have been treating patients with cancer for many years. The oncologists are affiliated with the Southwest Oncology Group through the University of Kansas Medical Center and the Mid-West Cancer Alliance. They are committed to providing cutting-edge cancer treatment for residents of north central Kansas.
Jeffrey M. Geitz, M.D.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, KS, completed his residence at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, KS, and did his fellowship at Saint Louis University (Hematology/Medical Oncology).
Peeran D. Sandhu, M.D.
Board certified in Internal Medicine and eligible for Medical Oncology, attended the Medical University of Lublin in Lublin, Poland, completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma's College of Medicine and did his fellowship at the University of Oklahoma's College of Medicine (Hematology/Oncology).
Karen Swisher, M.D.
Dr. Swisher completed her Hematology/Oncology fellowship, internal medicine residency and received her medical degree at OU Health Sciences Center. She received her Bachelor of Science Chemistry at Northeastern State University. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and is board eligible in Hematology.
Yazan Abuodeh, M.D.
Dr. Yazan Abuodeh received his medical degree from the University of Jordan. He completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of South Florida at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer and Research Institute. He also trained at the University of Florida-Proton Therapy Institute.
Alison Hiatt, N.P.
Alison received her Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in Nursing from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Jessica Wolters, APRN
Jessica received her Masters of Science in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner at Ball State University School of Nursing and received her Bachelors of Science of Nursing at Baker University School of Nursing. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and holds certifications for Oncology Nurse, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, and Basic Life Support (BLS).
