Ground breaking ceremony planned for February 16
(February 13, 2006) – Salina Regional
will hold a ground breaking
ceremony
for the new six-story patient tower project February 16 south of the
Emergency Room entrance at 3 p.m. A tentative completion date for the
project is set for the spring of 2008, which will be followed by another
year of renovations to the existing Santa Fe facility.
Preliminary work for the project will
begin this month with major construction and excavations underway by April.
Representatives from the hospital,
board, medical staff and city government
officials
will make remarks at the event. Members of the design/build team, JE Dunn –
ACI Boland, will also be on hand.
Salina Regional Health Center’s board
of trustees gave final approval to the project in January, which will
include new features such as:
