Family and Friends Visitors Spouses, parents and ministers of Salina Regional Health Center patients are welcome to visit at any time. Friends and relatives are welcome to visit during regular visiting hours. We do ask that guest be limited to one or two at a time. Every courtesy will be shown to our patients' guests. Regulations that are imposed are for the benefit of our patients and guests. Too many visitors make it difficult to rest and may slow recovery. It is expected that visitors be quiet and refrain from congregating in the halls. Children less than 12 years old may visit patients during regular visiting hours if accompanied by an adult, and if granted permission by the supervising nurse or an administrator. Special sibling visitation policies exist for Birth Center patients. Ask your nurse for details. Visiting Hours General Floors - 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Rehabilitation, Intensive Care, Mental Health and the Birth Center have special visiting hours. Ask your nurse for details. Smoking Salina Regional Health Center is a non-smoking public facility. Visitors are asked not to smoke in the hospital. Designated areas outside the hospital, on each campus, have been created for this purpose. Ask a member of the hospital staff to direct you to a smoking area. Gift Shop The Salina Regional Health Service Auxiliary operates a gift shop at the Santa Fe campus. Magazines, cards, toys, flowers, balloons and other gifts are available. Volunteer workers staff the shop. All profits from the sale of merchandise benefit the hospital through the efforts of the Service Auxiliary. Accommodations Special guest accommodations are available to the families of Salina Regional Health Center patients. Out-of-town family members of inpatient guests may stay at the Rebecca A Morrison House. A donation for the use of guest rooms would be appreciated and accepted. Ask the registration staff for more specific information. They will be happy to help you coordinate your accommodations. |
