October 18 - Bowling Fundraiser for TWCC
On October 18 there will be a bowling fundraiser for Tammy Walker Cancer Center. It will be tons of fun and the proceeds come to our wonderful center. You get 2 hours of bowling and free shoes for only $10. There will be a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing. We hope you'll get some friends and come out for a fun time. Bowling expertise is NOT necessary! :-) Pizza Hut will also be there donating any proceeds from their food sales that evening.
October 24 - Calling all women and breast cancer survivors.....
On Friday, October 24 come by The City Teen Center for the Pink Ribbon Tea. Come and go between 11 and 2 that day. Enjoy a free light lunch with mini cupcakes from Sugar P's and specialty teas from the Market Shoppe. Free breast exams will be offered and the Mammography bus will be there to provide a no cost mammogram for those without insurance or the ability to pay. ALSO For the survivors or children of breast cancer patients in the group we are doing a unique video diary as they tell their story and bring home the importance of screenings and knowing their own breasts. Pink pictures will also be taken. We hope you will get your friends and come on over.
November 5 - FREE 8-week smoking cessation class
Beginning November 5 a free 8 week smoking cessation class will be held at TWCC. Sign up NOW with Linda Hinnenkamp at 452-4848.
November 22 - Free prostate and skin screening and a cancer prevention fair
On November 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. we will have a free prostate and skin screening and a cancer prevention fair. This is a save the date. Watch for more news when November rolls around.
