Support Groups
Ongoing Support
The more patients and their loved ones learn about the disease the more prepared they are to conquer it. Group forums led by specialists offer the opportunity to learn the latest cancer information and the unique chance to share experiences with others who have encountered the disease.
Special support groups are available for breast cancer and prostate cancer survivors, and friends and loved ones of those afflicted with the disease. Ask or call the cancer care coordinator at (785) 452-7335 to be included on mailing lists and for more details on this programming.
Support Groups
Breast Cancer Support Group
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month (excluding July) at 5:30 p.m. at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center in the 1st floor conference room. The cost is free.
Man to Man Prostate Support Group
Meets the 4th Tuesday of each month (Jan to Oct) at 7 p.m. at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center in the 1st floor conference room. The cost is free.
