Kansas Nursing Student Scholarship Program:
In partnership with the Kansas State Board of Regents, Salina Regional Health Center offers scholarships to students who have been accepted into a nursing program from an accredited Kansas post-secondary institution. Scholarship applicants will be asked to complete the Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship application, provide two letters of recommendation/reference, and submit a resume. Once the information has been received, the scholarship applicant will be scheduled for an interview in the Human Resources department at the Health Center. Following graduation and obtaining licensure as a Registered Nurse, recipients of the scholarship will agree to complete one year of full time employment for each year of scholarship sponsorship. A scholarship of $3,500 is issued to the recipient's college at a rate of $1,750 per semester. Applications for this scholarship are accepted throughout the year.
Paramedic to RN Bridge Scholarship Program:
Licensed Paramedics who are accepted into a one-year bridge program are eligible for scholarship. Salina Regional Health Center offers scholarships to paramedics who have been accepted into a nursing bridge program from an accredited post-secondary institution. Scholarship applicants will be asked to provide two letters of recommendation/reference and submit a resume with a cover letter. Once the information has been received, the scholarship applicant will be scheduled for an interview in the Human Resources department at the Health Center. Following graduation and obtaining licensure as a Registered Nurse, recipients of the scholarship will agree to complete a tie of service with the Health Center. The tie of service is variable dependent upon the election made by the scholarship recipient. Scholarship amounts vary from $2,000 to $5,000 per year. Applications for this scholarship are accepted throughout the year.

SRHC Service Auxiliary Healthcare Scholarships:

The Salina Regional Health Foundation and Service Auxiliary offer scholarships for full- or part-time students entering or continuing their education in healthcare careers. Scholarships are not available for prerequisite studies prior to admission to diploma or certification programs.
The Foundation awards scholarships in nursing program studies. The Service Auxiliary awards scholarships in nursing studies and other healthcare studies, including advanced studies. Scholarship awards begin at $500 annually and vary depending upon number of hours enrolled, financial need, overall academic record, and criteria and priorities stated in the applications. Validation of admission to a healthcare major is required, and award recipients are expected to seek employment and remain employed for a minimum of 24 months at Salina Regional or other Sunflower Health Network hospital upon completion of their study programs.

- Employees or Salina Regional or other Sunflower Health Network hospitals
- Former Salina Regional Youth Volunteers
- Students enrolling in areas that are in high demand at Salina Regional or other Sunflower Health Network hospitals.

- RENEWAL Scholarships (for applicants who hold Foundation or Auxiliary Scholarships for the current school year).

Student Loan Forgiveness Program:
Salina Regional Health Center recognizes the substantial financial impact of pursing post-secondary education. As a result, many people may acquire considerable student loans. Recent graduates applying for certain licensed, patient care positions may be eligible for Student Loan Forgiveness. Loan payments will be made on the employee's behalf in the amount of $300 per month for a maximum of 3 years or $10,800. Participation in the Student Loan Forgiveness Program will require a 3-year commitment of full-time employment. Application must be made within 60-days of hire.
