Salina Regional Health Center offers discounts to all employees in the hospital cafeterias, the pharmacy, and for outpatient services. Social Security, workers compensation, and unemployment insurances are paid by Salina Regional Health Center.
Earned Time Off
Accrual is based on employment status and years of service. Full-time (80 hours per pay period) with 1 to 4-years of service earn 22 days per year to be used for holidays, sick days and vacation days. ETO increases to 27-days following 4 years of service and up to 30-days following 14 years of service.
Employees working 40-80 hours/pp. ETO begins accruing immediately and may be used after 3 months of employment.
Extended Illness Bank
Short term disability time is for personal illness. Accrual is based on employment status. Full-time (80-hours per pay period) earn 7 days per year. EIB may be used following 3 consecutive working days in the event of personal illness or injury. EIB may be used immediately in the event of hospitalization.
Full-time employees (64-80 hours/pp). EIB begins accruing immediately and may be used after 3 months of employment.
Medical: Multiple, tiered plans allow you to tailor your coverage to your personal and family needs. Deductibles range from $350 on a Premium Plan to $1,000 on a Basic Plan. Plans include Preventative/Wellness co-pay, Vision Care and Prescription Drug coverage.
Dental: Dental coverage is separate from medical coverage and also offers multiple tiered plans to meet your needs. Diagnostic and preventive services are not subject to a deductible. Orthodontia coverage is also available.
Full-time employees (64-80 hours/pp). Eligible to enroll the first month following 30 days of employment. SRHC subsidizes a portion of the premium.
Group Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
Regular full-time and part-time employees (40-80 hours per pay period). Coverage is 100% of annual salary rounded to the nearest thousand. Policy amount doubles if death is accidental. There is no cost for this coverage.
Employees working 40-80 hrs/pp covered free of charge. Effective first of the month following 30 days of employment.
Retirement Plan 401(k)
Voluntary, tax-sheltered contributions can begin immediately. After meeting Eligibility requirements, SRHC will match 50% of up to 6%, and SRHC contributes 2% of annual gross wages to the employee's account at the end of each year.

21 years of age; one year of employment; working at least 1,000 hours in a calendar year. Eligibility is determined January 1 and July 1 of each year.
SRHC will assist in the cost of tuition when an employee is seeking a degree in a hospital-related course of study. For full-time employees, SRHC will assist with 100% of tuition reimbursement up to a maximum of $3,600 per fiscal year, with the opportunity for reimbursement based on final grades. For regular part-time employees, the assistance may be up to $1,800 per fiscal year, with the opportunity for reimbursement for books.
Employees (40-80 hours/pp). Requirements: 6 months of employment in good standing.
Student Loan Forgiveness Program
Salina Regional Health Center recognizes the substantial financial impact of pursing post-secondary education. As a result, many people may acquire considerable student loans. Recent graduates applying for certain licensed, patient care positions may be eligible for Student Loan Forgiveness. Loan payments will be made on the employee's behalf in the amount of $300 per month for a maximum of 3 years or $10,800. Participation in the Student Loan Forgiveness Program will require a 3-year commitment of full-time employment. Application must be made within 60-days of hire.
$2.00 per hour for designated hours worked on evening and night shifts.
$2.00 per hour for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
One-half of base rate per hour worked for these designated days: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.
