Service Auxiliary

Over the years, many of you have surely visited an auxiliary Rummage Sale for super bargains for your home and family, viewed what's new for fall at a Fashion Show, or had a great spaghetti dinner at Holly Days. Did you know that, while you were enjoying these Service Auxiliary events, you were also helping our health center provide valued services?

Receiving the donation for Tammy Walker Canter Center in honor of Paula Hawoth was Jeanne Byquist. Pictured in the front row are Service Auxiliary members Bonnie Neubrand, Morea Charvat, Linda Smith, Brenda Smith and Byquist. On the back row are Bob Haworth, Louise Haworth, and Auxiliary member Bonnie Anderson.

Dollars from these and other auxiliary projects support services of Salina Regional Health Center and Salina Regional Health Foundation in our regional community. The Salina Regional Health Center Service Auxiliary recently distributed funds to three local organizations. The funds were raised through Gift Shop sales and the Auxiliary Fashion Show held in October.

The Auxiliary donated $6,100.39 to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center in honor of Paula Haworth, Past President of the Auxiliary, who passed away in 2014. More than 80 models from 15 area stores participated in the Fashion Show. Platinum sponsors for the Fashion Show were Barton Bycroft, DMD, Bank of Tescott. Central Care Cancer Center. Mark and Bonnie Neubrand/Pronto Print, Salina Regional Health Center and S&B Markets (Courtyard by Marriott and The Hampton Inn).

Auxiliary President Linda Smith presented a $25,000 check to Lisa Hoffman, Manager of the Rebecca Morrison House.

The Rebecca Morrison House received $25,000 to sponsor 250 days in 2015.

In addition, $8,000 was donated to the Salina Regional Health Center Foundation to support the Community Health Investment Program (CHIP) which provides grants to organization that are working to improve the health of the people in north central Kansas.
