(formerly Man To Man Prostate Cancer Support Group)

This is a great group of guys and some wives that meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month
(except Nov. & Dec.) at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center. Any man who has had prostate
(or any type of cancer) is welcome to attend.

June 24 - Pain & Symptom Management

Learn about and practice simple ways to use JSJ (the ancient Japanese art of harmonizing the
life energy in the body) to provide relief of aches, pain and/or other symptoms associated with your
or your loved one's illness. You will learn ways in which you can simply hold your fingers or
various areas on your body to help ease a variety of bodily tension and discomforts. Jin Shin
Jyutsu is so "user-friendly" that you can practice it anywhere, anytime- whether you are sitting in
the doctor's office or watching TV.

July 22 - A Gentle Yet Powerful Exercise For Managing Stress

Bill Douglas, author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to T'ai Chi & Qigong" will present this exercise
for managing stress. Tai Chi is perhaps the lowest impact exercise known, yet provides cardio benefits, burns calories, improves balance and promotes relaxation. The format of this class will include: A short breathing exercise, warm ups (loosening, breathing and balance awareness techniques) and standing/sitting Tai Chi techniques.

July 29 & July 30 - Trauma Care After Resuscitation

This course provides accurate care, critical care and perioperative nurses the foundational evidence-based information and critical thinking skills necessary to care for the hospitalized trauma patient. TCAR covers a wide range of pathophysiologic and nursing concepts and is designed to be a broad, core-level program, rather than an advanced or specialty area specific course. For those involved in the care of injured children, consider attending the pediatric-specific version of the TCAR
