April 3- What Is Diabetes, Healthy Eating

This program is open to anyone including those newly diagnosed with diabetes, those who have
had diabetes for a long time and anyone who simply wants to learn more. The instructors are
nurses and dieticians who are Certified Diabetic Educators, a pharmacist and a physical therapist.

Salina oncologists Larry Beck, Huhammad Ahmed, Peeran Sandhu and Jeffrey Geitz will host a
"Chat With The Doc". The evening will open with a brief presentation from guest speaker Jeanne

April 23- Turning Point: Sleep And The Psychology Of Stress

Stress just seems to be part of everyday life.  It can affect physical health, with chronic illnesses
often flaring up during repeated times of stress.  This program will take a look at the relationship
between stress and sleep and will explore: How levels of stress disrupt not only how long we sleep -
but the quality of sleep’s vital restorative powers, why some stressors are more unbearable than
others and three powerful psychological factors that work to regulate the stress response.

April 25 - Queen Jean Memorial Golf Tournament

Proceeds benefit Hospice of Salina, a non-for profit organization, to help ensure that everyone
receives car regardless of their ability to pay. Registration is open until March 30, 2014. Sponsors
for the tournament are being accepted.
