July 8 - What Is Diabetes/Healthy Eating

This program is open to anyone including those newly diagnosed with diabetes, those who
have had diabetes for a long time and anyone who simply wants to learn more. It is being
taught by nurses and dietitians who are certified Diabetes Education Educators, a pharmacist
and a physical therapist.
Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

A Salina Regional Health Center registered nurse will teach a breastfeeding/infant feeding class.

July 18 - Cancer 101

Are you confused by all the terms frequently associated with cancer? Then this is the program for
you! It will cover the basics of cancer: what exactly is cancer, different types of cancer, risk
factors, prevention, recommended cancer screenings and cancer myths. Facilitated by Susan Krigel,
PhD, Licensed Psychologist, Midwest Cancer Alliance, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology,
University of Kansas Medical Center.

(formerly Man To Man Prostate Cancer Support Group)

A wonderful group of men and some of their spouses meet once a month to hear a talk pertaining
to men's cancers and have a chance to network with each other about issues they are dealing
with or have questions answered. Everyone is welcome.
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: 511. S. Santa Fe, Tammy Walker Cancer Center, Conference Room
