Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinic today for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. March 1 - Free Colorectal Screening Kits Available Beginning Today

Free colorectal screening kits are available at Tammy Walker Cancer Center, any Salina or Lindsborg Pharmacy, Salina Senior Center and Salina Family Healthcare Center for the month of March (while supplies last). Kits are recommended for people aged 50-75. This is a very important test that saves lives by detecting the presence of human blood in the sample. We encourage anyone who has not had a colonoscopy in the last year, or those who do not plan to have one in the next year to take advantage of this screening. If you are picking up kits for someone else, you will need their name, address, birthdate, phone number and physicians name.

March 1 - Tune Into Your Health: Oncology & Hematology (Session 1)

Cancer affects so many of us, yet there are not many opportunities to ask questions or have a general discussion. This is your chance to hear from professionals in our community and ask any questions you have about cancer. During Session 1, Dr. Larry Beck will discuss survivorship for you and your family during and following your cancer battle. In Session 2, Dr. Peeran Sandhu will share about healthy choices which can help to prevent cancer, including diet, exercise and screenings. Please bring your questions for the experts, and register for one or both unique sessions.
