This is a great group of guys and some wives that meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Today
is the Men's Cancer Networking Group's Annual Picnic. Bring a side dish or desert and your tableware. Meat and drinks will be furnished and family members are welcome. RSVP by September 18.

Tammy Walker Cancer Center and Wheatland Chapter Oncology Nursing Society present the 2015 Oncology Fair. Those attending will be able to use family centered approaches for after-death care to assist in healing in the hospital environment and much more. October 1 - What Is Diabetes- Healthy Eating

This program is open to anyone including those newly diagnosed with diabetes, those who have had diabetes for a long time and anyone who simply wants to learn more. Instructed by nurses and dietitians who are certified diabetes educators, a pharmacist and a physical therapist.

October 1 - Managing Anger, Defiance And Bullying

A two-hour workshop especially designed for parents will be held on the topic of managing anger, defiance and bullying in children and adolescents at home. If you are a parent or guardian who has felt challenged by anger, defiance or bullying behavior from your child or adolescent- this workshop is for you! Robert G. Harrington, PhD will address the do's and don'ts of positive parenting. He is on faculty at the University Of Kansas and teaches courses on the topics of classroom management, bullying, mental health challenges in the classroom and parent education. He has presented on these topics widely across the U.S.

October 2- Behavioral Health Symposium

The 2015 Behavioral Health Symposium will be held on October 2, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Conference Center 6 & 7 at SRHC.  This is a one-day workshop based on current theory, research and provides case examples so you can be in compliance with the US Department Of Educations 2014 guidelines. October 7 - Going Forward: Life After Treatment

The six weekly sessions in this free program will cover many topics for those who have completed their cancer treatment. They are held on Wednesday's from Noon-1:00 p.m. The first session is October 7 and the last session is November 18. All sessions are free of charge. To get the most benefit from the program, you are requested to try to attend all the sessions. Written material from the National Cancer Institute will be provided. Pre-register by September 21. Chronic Kidney Disease Educational Class

This class is open to anyone newly diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). The class
will answer; What the kidneys do, what causes CKD, the symptoms of CKD, treatments for
CDK and much more.

Men's Cancer Networking Group
(formerly Man To Man Prostate Cancer Support Group)

A wonderful group of men and some of their spouses meet once a month to hear a talk pertaining
to men's cancers and have a chance to network with each other about issues they are dealing
with or have questions answered. Everyone is welcome. The meetings are held on the fourth
Tuesday of every month (except November and December).
