Colorectal Screening Kits

Take advantage of the free colorectal screening during the month of March. For any person aged 50 to 75 who has not had a recent colonoscopy and does not plan to have one anytime soon. iFit kits are to be done every year if a colonoscopy is not done at recommended intervals. Pick up your free kit at any Salina or Lindsborg pharmacy or Salina Family Healthcare.

February 13 - What Is Diabetes, Monitoring Blood Sugars & Exercise

February 16 – Dr. Mace Braxton Cardiovascular Symposium

The 2018 Cardiovascular Symposium offers attendees a variety of topics related to improving outcomes for cardiac patients. Topics presented explore treatment opportunities for management acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions as well as looking at opportunities for providers to update practice. Each evening will highlight a different diabetes-related topic designed to provide support for diabetics and their families. Door prizes will be awarded to the first 30 attendees! Look Good, Feel Better

March 9 - Early Childhood Screening Clinic

Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinic today for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. April 21- Spanish Today For Medical Professionals

Professionals gain the ability to quickly use targeted and practical Medical Spanish phrases and basic Spanish knowledge with interpersonal and cross-cultural training. We don’t give a list of words and phrases; we teach how to fully communicate through the use of interpersonal, cultural and verbal skills.

We are inviting all cancer survivors, their partners and those helping in the fight to join us at this support group. This group provides educational talks, helps with coping and provides a safe place to share and ask questions and learn from others who have faced similar situations. Drinks and snacks are provided. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

April 24 - What Is Diabetes, Prevention of Complications

This program is open to anyone including those newly diagnosed with diabetes, those who have had diabetes for a long time and anyone who simply wants to learn more. Instructors include nurses and dietitians who are certified diabetes educators, a pharmacist and a physical therapist.
