Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

 Provides concurrent review of the clinical documentation in the medical record.  Queries the medical staff and other caregivers as necessary via written/verbal communication to obtain accurate and complete physician documentation that supports the patient's severity of illness and risk of mortality.  Performs a thorough chart review to identify comorbidities/complications, and documents these appropriately on the appropriate Worksheet.  Indirectly assures case mix index, DRG assignment and severity/mortality profiles are accurate. Concurrently reviews all inpatient/observation admissions for appropriate admission level order;  works with caregivers as needed to complete admission orders. Demonstrates creativity and enthusiasm while pursuing the goals of the department and the organization. Maintains the ability to be flexible, and prioritizes daily responsibilities.  Minimum Education: BSN with 3 years clinical nursing experience. Required Certification: Achieve CCS by end of 12 months of accepting position.

Team Leader

Responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients.  Plans, organizes, and directs the specialty service under their charge and communicates pertinent information to provide optimum patient care.  Assists the clinical supervisor/director in assuming responsibility for administrative management of a specific area.  Assists in developing and monitoring performance improvement issues and assuring competent staff are able to meet the needs of the patient population on the specialty team.  Takes assigned call, if applicable.

Nurse Tech.

Under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse in charge of the department, the nurse tech assists the nurses in providing quality patient care and informs the nurse about any significant changes.  This includes taking vital signs, transporting patients, and helping the professional nurse with interventions.  The nurse tech also interacts with other departments, performs cleaning, and restocks supplies, all under the direction of the professional nurse. Qualifications for position are as follows: to graduation form an accredited school of nursing, hold a Current LPN licensure from the state of Kansas, actively enrolled in and pursuing RN education and licensure. Also required are the follow certifications: BLS certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support [American Red Cross-CPR for the Professional Rescuer] or Basic Life Support [American Heart Association-Health Care Provider] certification will be accepted)

FLexPool Position Openings

FlexPool
 

The Flex Pool is a staffing pool formed for the purpose of providing readily available, qualified employees to supplement regularly staffed employees in times of unpredictable absences, medical leave, vacancies, or in times of excess census. 

Flex Pool RNs require a minimum of one year of acute care experience and availability on a preferred shift.  These nurses will work a minimum of 12 hours per 2-week pay period filling in open slots on the schedule.  Flex Pool RNs will have an accelerated salary based on years of experience.
