The Non-Licensed Patient Care employee assists in providing quality patient care by performing a number of activities that may include taking vital signs, transporting patients, drawing blood samples, cleaning and restocking supplies. Or it may include performing clerical, interdepartmental and general communications. The following areas have openings:

Nurse Assistant

A trained nursing assistant who is responsible for providing quality patient care as assigned by professional nursing staff. Minimum Education Required:  Minimum Education Required:  High school or equivalent. Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course or has appropriate previous work experience

Medical Assistant

A trained medical assistant who is responsible for providing quality patient care as assigned by professional nursing staff or physicians in the clinic setting.  Minimum Education Required: High school or equivalent Completion of a certified medical assistant (CMA) training course and/or CMA or RMA (registered medical assistant certificate in good standing.  Previous medical assistant experience or other applicable experience may be substituted for CMA or RMA certification.  Requires validation of competencies and skills checklist.

Specialty Tech

Under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse in charge of the department, the specialty technician assists the nurses in providing quality patient care and informs the nurse about any significant changes.  This includes taking vital signs, transporting patients, and helping the professional nurse with interventions.  The specialty technician also interacts with other departments, performs cleaning, and restocks supplies, all under the direction of the professional nurse. Minimum Education Required:  High school or equivalent. Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course or has appropriate previous work experience.
